Growing up watching TV Oct25

As a kid I loved Monster movies (still do) and one of the best times to watch them was on Saturday nights right after the 10 ‘o’clock news in San Antonio, TX. See, right after the KENS-5 newscaster (Chris Marrou) would sign off, the TV would go dark for just a half second, the room seemed to drop in temperature…and then the most creepiest, yet adrenaline filled sound ever, would emanate from our TV. Drawn to the light like a moth to a flame, I would slowly inch closer to the TV, knowing a Monster or Horror movie was about to begin…

I decided to recreate the experience when I built the Tiny TV project that my Hermano, Jim gave me. If you’re interested in that build, you can view that here.

Click on the short video below to experience what I did as a kid.

Thanks for letting me share.
Even found an IMDB story about Project Terror.

Below is a Behind the Scenes image of how I filmed my video.

  1. That brought back so many memories!! I would get chills hearing that Project Terror sound effect. Watching so intently the black and white horror movies and sometime between my fingers covering my eyes. Thanks for sharing!
